About

At CMRL we are not just about making players, we are devoted to helping kids become strong and ready for life’s challenges. We welcome sportsmanship, and the sheer joy of playing rugby league takes precedence. Our players, coaches and referees are all from our community, and pride ourselves on showing respect and maintaining a positive attitude, whilst upholding the integrity of the Club’s reputation.

Formed in 1988, CMRL is one of the largest in the Hunter District and has enjoyed great success over the years with numerous Junior Premierships and past players achieving international recognition. Whilst our achievements on the field are well known, we feel the greatest benefit provided by the Club to the community is the commitment to Rugby League and the social development of all Club members. Our Club has built a strong reputation for developing talent, fostering inclusivity, and providing a positive, family-friendly environment for players of all ages and abilities.

Our Coaches play a vital role in shaping the experience our players have at CMRL. Beyond teaching skills and strategies, our Coaches set the tone for how our teams develop both on and off the field. To ensure our Club continues to uphold our strong reputation, and provide the best environment for our players, there are four key areas we ask all our coaches to focus on: Being Reliable, Creating a Safe Environment, Coaching Effectively, and Making the Game Fun for Everyone Involved.

CMRL is a proud not-for-profit community organisation with over 580 male and female junior players from U5 to U18, a strong team of volunteers, a dedicated Committee, and over 40 local businesses that generously support our Club.
